What Cootchie Wash Do You Use?: 13 Life Lessons and Real-Life Advice Learned from Online Dating – Wendi M. Davis

(Reviewed by Judy Deutsch )

I am hardly a novice when it comes to dating. Seven years ago, as a widow, I went on over forty dates with men I met online. Eventually, I found someone special and was in a long-term relationship. However, I have recently found myself single again after many years…and during COVID!

Needless to say, I couldn’t have discovered What Cootchie Wash Do You Use?: 13 Life Lessons and Real-Life Advice Learned from Online Dating at a better time.

The author’s thirteen “life lessons” come from her own dating experiences and what she has learned about herself. They include  learning to be comfortable in your own silence, noticing the RED flags and never settling, trusting your intuition, how to know if someone has potential, whether you should use social media or not, and so much more.

A reader can skip around to their specific interest or read each chapter in order. I particularly liked her suggestion of compiling a list of what you want and/or must have in a partner.

At a slim 66 pages, this dating manual is comprehensive, but concise without any insignificant fluff. This book is a must-read for anyone considering entering or returning to the dating scene.

Most of all, I want to thank Wendi M. Davis for writing this book. It really helped me.
